How to Have A "Sale" If You're Restoration Hardware
Mark up your items before you put them on "sale."
Since spring was in the air, I thought I'd look for some outdoor furniture from Restoration Hardware. So I perused the internets to find some outdoor furniture, and I found a few potentials on the Restoration Hardware web site.
The next day I got a catalog in the mail. But A-HA! the prices in the catalog were higher than I remember them being online. So I went back online, and Restoration Hardware had raised the prices just in time for the sale.
But thanks to the smart folks at Google who included that cache option in their search functions, we can now all be smarter shoppers and let everyone know of Restoration Hardware's apparent bait-and-switch tactics. (And shame on Restoration Hardware if they now remove cache functionality from their pages. I'll call them on that too, if they do.)
